Strait and Reba sell out BOK Center in under an hour
The upcoming George Strait and Reba McEntire concert at the BOK Center sold out in under an hour Saturday, marking the first time that the downtown arena has sold over 18,000 tickets for one event.
"The demand for this show is phenomenal," BOK Center General Manager John Bolton said in a new release. "It has been as high as all the shows we've had in the past, and it's the most number of tickets sold since the venue opened."
Country stars Strait and McEntire will be joined by Lee Ann Womack for a Feb. 20 "in the round" show. Strait, who has won more Country Music Awards than any other artist, will be making his first appearance in Tulsa in more than 13 years, according to the BOK Center.
The BOK Center hosted its first concert in September 2008 and has drawn performers such as the Eagles, Paul McCartney, Aerosmith, Billy Joel and Elton John, Celine Dion, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Britney Spears, Nickelback, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
